Emergence Insurance today announced it has become a shareholder in NSB Cyber, formalising a strategic alliance with the cyber security and advisory firm.
The partnership represents a deliberate step in strengthening Emergence’s value proposition to support organisations before, during and after a cyber incident, and helping to reduce their cyber risk.
The alliance brings together two Australian-owned organisations in a shared mission to help businesses defend themselves against increasingly persistent and sophisticated cyber threats. It enables Emergence to complement its Smarter Cyber Services, which are included with it’s business cyber insurance policies. These services include real-time cyber threat intelligence, dark web monitoring and vCISO services.
The alliance allows Emergence to offer additional cyber advisory services to policyholders. These services sit beyond the Smarter Cyber Services included with the policy and support organisations seeking to further strengthen their cyber resilience. Emergence policyholders can access services including cyber strategy advisory, cyber risk assessments, managed cyber security services, cyber awareness training, executive tabletop exercises, and more.
The investment in NSB Cyber also strengthens Emergence’s incident response capability through NSB Cyber’s digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) and eDiscovery expertise.
“We’ve worked closely with the NSB Cyber team for several years. Our alliance gives insureds access to deeper cyber advisory, DFIR and eDiscovery capability, strengthening how we support them across the full cyber risk lifecycle,” Troy Filipcevic, CEO, Emergence said. “Together, we share a practical approach to cyber risk, combined with curiosity and a drive to keep improving how we protect organisations as technology advances into the future.”
The alliance is built on a shared mission, bringing together industry leading cyber insurance with specialist cyber expertise to strengthen the cyber maturity and resilience of businesses. “Cyber risk has evolved well beyond a purely technical issue. It is a material business and financial risk that requires industry collaboration and mission alignment,” said Shane Bell, CEO of NSB Cyber. “This strategic alliance with Emergence reflects a shared commitment to innovation, quality, and raising the standard of protection available to organisations.”
